Looking for a fun activity for the kids these holidays? Look no further. Geelong Lawn Tennis Club runs 8 Holiday Tennis Clinics every year so you're kids can make friends, learn a new sport or simply improve their tennis game!

The GLTC Holiday Clinics are a fantastic way to fast track pupil’s improvement with hours of fun filled tennis packed into the school holidays! If you have any questions please read the FAQ section below or contact the club on 03 5243 2819.

Holiday Clinic Week 1

Dates: Monday 7th to Thursday 10th January

Times: 9.00am to 12.30pm (8.30am drop-off available for working parents)

Fees: $49.00 per day (10% discount on consecutive bookings if all 4 booked)


Holiday Clinic Week 2

Dates: Monday 14th to Thursday 17th January

Times: 9.00am to 12.30pm (8.30am drop-off available for working parents)

Fees: $49.00 per day (10% discount on consecutive bookings if all 4 booked)

  • Morning tea

  • Hat

  • Sunscreen

  • Water

  • Sport clothes

  • Tennis racquet (there is an option to borrow a racquet from the centre)

What not to Bring:

  • All Preschool Programs are nut free zones. NO peanut butter, nuts or nut products are to be sent with your child.

 

Please Note: Sunscreen will be provided for all participants during breaks however we ask that all parents apply sunscreen to their child before the commencement of the holiday program. If you do not consent to our coaches applying sunscreen to your child then please notify staff.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

What ages/standards do we cater for?

 

All standards from 3 years of age up are invited to join in our Hot Shots Modified Clinics (half-day only) to 10-18 years old in our “Invitation Only” Performance Clinics.

 

What do we bring? 

 

Sunscreen, cap, snack, water bottle and tennis racquet if you own one. If staying for the full day please also bring lunch. All participants receive a minor prize, there is also a group winner prize and lastly there is a weekly most improved award.

 

Can you explain how a Junior Clinic works?

Schedule

  • 9.00am to 9.30am: Arrival, introduction and warm-up activities

  • 9.30am to11.00am: Coaching

  • 10.30am to 11.00am: Morning Tea / Free time

  • 11.00am to 12.30pm: Game based coaching and activities

 

Clinic Types

 

Hot Shots Clinic for kids (ages 3 to 7 years)

Our Hot Shots Clinics give kids aged 3 to 7 years (usually Red Ball stage) the opportunity to fast track their development by hitting more balls in one day then they can in an entire term of coaching!

 

Kids Tennis Clinics (ages 7 to 16 years)
Our Junior Holiday Clinics are extremely popular for kids aged 7 to 16 years and are an ideal way to fast track improvement for pupils and of course are great fun!

 

Development & Performance Squad Clinic (Invitation Only)
The perfect lead-in to our January Junior Gold Tournament or the upcoming Junior Development Series tournament in February. For our more advanced pupils who attend either our Development or Performance Squads our Squad Clinics offer advanced players pre-tournament match play and training including: fitness activities, match play, video analysis, match statistic and use of our ball machine. 

Terms & Conditions

By enrolling your child in a Geelong Lawn Tennis Club Holiday Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • I understand that the YMCA, its staff and volunteers will take reasonable care of me/my child and I will not hold them responsible for any damage and/or loss of property and/or accident

  • I give my consent for my child to participate in all activities organised by YMCA Victoria

  • I agree to the YMCA Victoria Privacy Policy. This may be viewed online at www.victoria.ymca.org.au

  • I understand that my child will need to abide by the Term and Conditions and Codes of Conduct of YMCA Victoria and the Geelong Lawn Tennis Club to remain in the program. If they do not abide by these conditions of entry they may be removed from the program and possibly banned from participating in future programs

  • In case of an accident or untoward incident I give my consent for any necessary medical treatment and agree to meet any expense incurred.

  • I understand that YMCA Victoria and the Geelong Lawn Tennis Club, accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged items such as clothing, money, electronic devices.

  • I realise that I am responsible for informing YMCA staff in detail of any medical conditions that my affect my own child’s participation in the activity.

  • This enrolment is non-transferable

  • If  the child does not attend the specified session the purchase will be forfeited and is not transferable into future program at the Geelong Lawn Tennis Club

  • Payment must be made at time of enrolment. Places will not be held without payment and completion of this form.
