Geelong Lawn Tennis Club

The club is pleased to announce Geelong City Motors as the major sponsor of the $10,000 2010 Geelong City Motors Victorian Grass Court Championships.  Tony Jennett, Dealer Principal - Geelong City Motors and Bob Spurling - GLTC President are shown celebrating the signing of the partnership.  Held for many years in late December, the event celebrates ten years as the state championship.  Past winners of this prestigious event include past and present Davis Cup players Wayne Arthurs and Peter Luczak.  In 2009 the event was conducted for the first time as part of the "Platinum" Australian Money Tournament (AMT) Series.  The 2010 event hopes to build on the success of the last years tournament, with Senior, Graded & Wheelchair sections planned to complement the open prizemoney events.  A "Corporate Cup" event is scheduled to build media interest, as well as a sponsors hospitality area will give corporate supporters a comfortable way to enjpy the tennis.
