Sue Finishes 4th In World Titles

Sue Phillips, club member, committee member and keen squash player showed that she can mix her sports when she recently finished 4th in the GKR Karate World Championships in Melbourne in August.

Section 13 Junior Girls Successful

Congratulations to the Section 13 Green Girls team who won the flag in the Winter 2009 Tennis Geelong Competition. The team of Ebony Rayner, Rachel Freeman, Dana Grech, Sandra Gajic & Sophi Zyppel defeated Ocean Grove Tennis Club 4 sets 31 games to 2 sets 19 games in a hard fought final.

Gr1 Mens Team Wins Flag

The Gr1 Tennis Victoria Mens Pennant team of Justin Robinson, Matthew Holschier, Jeremy Palmer-Morgan, Shane Wiffen & Matthew Fisher broke a 20 year drought in Grade 1 Mens competition for the club when they won the flag on Saturday at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club against Dendy Park Tennis Club.

Tennis Victoria Pennant Dinner

Matthew Holschier capped off an outstanding season of tennis at the club when he was named Mens Pennant Player Of The Year at a club function on Friday 14th August.
