The tables were turned at the 2010 Geelong City Motors Victorian Grass Court Championships when 16 yearl old Azra Hadzic had an emphatic victory in the Womens final over her 2009 opponent Viktorija Rajicic.
Playing near flawless tennis, Hadzic displayed the gains in her game over the past twelve months that have taken her to an Australian ranking of 33. In the Mens final, local hopes were with seven time GLTC club champion Matthew Hicks who had not dropped a set on the way to the final. His opponent Daniel Wendler had pulled off the shock of the tournament with his three set quarter-final win over #1 seed Nima Roshan. In the final, Hicks had his chances, holding a set point in the first set but failed to capitalize on his opportunities. Wendlers powerful serve and athletic all court game saw him serve out the match with ease, winning 7-6 6-3.
